I was morbidly obese and got liposuction, they didnt take the fat from my chin though?

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Hello, I recently completed my liposuction, had to go 7 times because it was too dangerous to do everything at once. I’m 5′6. 300 pounds and I took 100 pounds of fat and 197 pounds I am now. The only problem is not yet out of my neck so my body is very thin, but my neck still appears as if I have 3 chins and my face is still fat and swollen. I said no more liposuction treatment need. Is it because she is compensated for its own fat in the neck / chin all goes away, many gracias.Hace 2 hours – 4 days

I Need Help from a licensed Professional?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

This is bad, real bad for me I really need some advice from someone who is a medical professional in the area of pharmacy or dispensing of medications. I suffer from AADD and narcolepsy along with disassociates disorder (multiple personalities). I must take a rather high dose of Adderall each day in order to remain functional. I have been on this drug for almost ten years and in that time my dosage has been gradually increased to what it is now. Before Adderall,it was Dexedrine and I was on a very high dose of that also. All along in these many years my health insurance paid for my medication,no problem. Recently however, they are threatening my doctor with legal action if he doesn’t stop prescribing this medication for me. They have accused him of over prescribing and malpractice. They also said they were going to investigate him and have his licence to practice medicine revoked. They came just short of accusing him and ME of insurance fraud.

You can Get Help with Improving your Appearance and Confidence from a Thigh And Buttock Lift

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Patients who desire a thigh and buttock lift usually are seeking to reduce the size of their buttocks or lower trunk area.

This plastic surgery procedure is best for individuals who are unable to reduce their size through exercise and dieting. Such factors may affect an individual’s confidence, leading them to seek their own thigh and buttock lift.

The procedure can help such individuals restore a thinner and fitter looking contour to their bodies. To better match the body of the patient, the buttocks are made smaller.

Plastic surgeon accomplishes this by removing excess fat and skin in the thigh and buttock and buttock areas and tightening the underlying muscle tissues. This not only helps to restore the physical appearance of the patient, but also restores self-confidence and respect to the patient.

The procedure is a very individualized procedure in which your goals should be realistically determined and discussed with your surgeon. Together you will determine what specific procedures will be performed.

The surgery is often performed along with other surgeries such as liposuction so that the hips can be changed to match the smaller area. Once your goals have been determined you will set a date for this procedure and will be given instructions about how to prepare.

When the date for your thigh and buttock lift in Santa Monica has arrived, you should plan on the surgery taking several hours or more depending on which procedures you are having performed.

Two surgeries are available, the buttock lift and full thigh or the buttock lift and partial thigh for patients who only choose to reduce the thighs and buttocks.

The physician will create a small incision that is placed to be as inconspicuous as possible and then will remove excess fat and skin. The muscles will then be tightened and set into place.

The procedure will remove fat and excess skin from the buttocks, thighs, and can also be done in conjunction with the lower back and hips. Because the surgery affects many different areas, it is typically a lengthy procedure taking several hours and other procedures performed in conjunction with the thigh and buttock lift should generally be scheduled on a separate day.

The surgery area may experience some pain and swelling for the first few days after the procedure. Your plastic surgeon will likely advise you on other precautions to take following the surgery.

Several weeks recovery time is usual and exercise will often help speed the recovery process after the initial recovery period. All procedures are performed with anesthesia to minimize any discomfort or pain.

Plastic surgeon can help you to achieve your goals relating to plastic surgery including procedures such as face lifts, breast augmentation, nose jobs, ear pinning, liposuction, and tummy tucks.

Liposuction Can Remove Unsightly Fat From Many Areas of Your Body

Monday, December 14th, 2009

In tumescent liposuction, areas of excess fat are injected with a large amount of anesthetic liquid before liposuction is actually made. The anesthetic liquid causes the compartments of fat swollen and firm or “tumescent.” Fat compartments allow the liposuction cannula cover travel smoothly beneath the skin, remove fat. This type of liposuction can be used in any area of the body but is most common in areas that require precision such as facial, neck, arms, calves and ankles. The tumescent technique is a relatively new method to perform liposuction to reduce post-operative bruising, swelling and pain. Blood loss is minimized during tumescent liposuction, and this technique also reduces the chances that a blood transfusion will be needed during the procedure. Although blood loss is minimized with tumescent liposuction, patients undergoing the procedure still face the same risks associated with traditional liposuction. Some of the risks with this type of liposuction include pulmonary edema (fluid in lungs) and lidocaine lidocaine toxicity (too much). General anesthesia is often the best option for the tumescent liposuction procedure. Or, if appropriate, the tumescent solution may serve as the sole means of anesthesia for the procedure. Your plastic surgeon will examine all options of anesthesia with you at your appointment. The process The warm tumescent fluid (containing lidocaine, epinephrine and intravenous fluid) is injected into the treatment area. As the liquid enters the fat, swollen, firm and pale. Liposuction is then performed in areas tumescent. The anesthesia used in the procedure can help relieve pain after a liposuction and decrease the need for additional analgesics to be determined. For the first two days after surgery, most patients experience swelling in areas that have been treated and drainage of fluid from the incision sites. Patients usually resume light physical activity in the first days after surgery, and normal physical activity can be resumed within weeks. Patients typically see a noticeable difference almost immediately after surgery. After three weeks, further improvements can be observed by most of the swelling has disappeared. After about three months, any persistent swelling disappears, and its shape and contour will be visible. Since all the liquid that is injected during the procedure was withdrawn, the weight after Tumescent liposuction can be the same or less than their original weight. As excess fluid and swelling of the tissues are treated by your body, your weight should normalize. Drainage from the incision is common with liposuction. Sometimes a small rubber tube drain is inserted under the skin for a few days to prevent fluid from accumulating. You may have to take antibiotics while the drains are in place, and as the main drain has stopped completely, you may need additional gauze pads to keep your clothes are wet.
